Winelands SPCA : Working in the Langeberg Municipal area, covering Robertson, McGregor, Bonnievale, Ashton, Montagu and surrounding farming districts.

The 67 minutes of Community Work promoted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation arrived at Winelands SPCA mid-afternoon on 16th July.  It was with great excitement that we heard the roar of motorbikes as they came down the dusty road and turned into the driveway.  Over 40 people from all walks of life, many of whom had ridden from Johannesburg, were ready to go to work on our behalf.  Some walked the dogs, others played with the puppies and a large number painted and decorated our grey, vibracrete wall. The 67 minutes project, reaching right across South Africa, must have brought great joy to the organisations and individuals it has helped. As Winelands SPCA, we can only say THANK YOU, not only for the actual work, but for the huge morale boost we have been given.
