PLEASE VOTE FOR JABULANI - hsi.org/photocontest
February is World Sterilising Month organised by the Humane Society of America. All paticipating societies, world wide, have the opportunity to raise funds to cover the cost of sterilising pets, to reduce the huge number unwanted puppies and kittens.
WSPCA is part of this project and funds are raised by people voting at $5 a time for our photographic entrant in the competition. For more information, go to hsi.org/photocontest and click on Search Pets. Our entrant - see picture above- is Jabulani. We need lots of votes in order to cover the cost of a dedicated HSUS sterilising Day. Last year we raised over $900 dollars and hope to improve on that this year. You may vote in South African rands by simply phoning or emailing us. Any amount is acceptable from R5.00 upwards!
Every Saturday:
Montagu Village Market - Every Saturday from 8.30 - 12.30
Collars, leads and harnesses in all sizes, specially designed for the SPCA.
Pet Health Blankets - exciting new stock designed to repel fleas and tics.
Barkers Biscuits baked freshly every week. These have become very popular and generally sell out well before closing time.
2012 Calendars - one for the wall R60, one for the desk R40 or buy both for only R90
Get your latest copy of our newsletter and bring your own dogs for a chat.
Apology:
The desk calendar contains an error for March. The 1st March is a Thursday, not a Monday, which means the days have to be changed. To anyone who has bought a desk calendar, you are entitled to a R20 refund, as we are reducing the price to R20 due to the error. Please feel free to contact us for your refund.
Robertson Farmers Market is open on the 2nd and last Saturdays of each month and includes an SPCA stall.
On Sunday 26th February there is an additional market at beautiful Kingsriver Wine Estate. This market is part of the Hands On Harvest Festival and will be open from 10h00 to 13h00. The SPCA will have a stall there too.
Come and visit the SPCA. We are open weekdays from 9am to 4pm and do not close for lunch. In addition we are open every Saturday from 9 - 11am. Saturday is a relaxed time for families, individuals or groups of children to visit or to come and choose a new pet. We have a wonderful selection of dogs and cats who enjoy extra "me-time" on Saturday mornings.
